Why We Built This
MY OWN STORY. I ask the same question all the time: who is going home next, and can they take something with them?
MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Parents, siblings, cousins, neighbors. Everyone I know has done this for 25 years. Most of them are still doing it the hard way.

From the founder
I am not an outsider to this problem. I have been sending things home, and waiting on things from home, since I was old enough to know what either of those things meant.
My parents did it. My sister did it. My cousins did it. The friends I made when I moved abroad did it, so did their families. Every diaspora has its own version of this story, and the version is always the same.
So we are building Haulr. Not as outsiders trying to fix a market, but as people who have lived inside this problem our whole lives. Verified travelers, escrow on every shipment, real recourse when something goes wrong. The trust the workaround has always relied on, with the safety net it never had.
